About Corpus Nature School

Started in January of 2024, Corpus Nature School was born from the desire to bring a new educational approach to the Coastal Bend by getting more children outdoors in an environment where they are challenged, mentored, and introduced to practices that will build character and confidence. Through games, exploration, and activities children in Corpus Nature School are given a fresh lens to view their surrounding environment that will unlock a life-long connection and appreciation for nature which Children need more so than ever before. In the short time we've been running classes, we've seen huge changes in the kids enrolled in our program. Self-discovery and connection to oneself, peers, and nature come from genuine, unplanned experiences and at Corpus Nature School we set the stage for those experiences to unfold. 

Corpus Nature School is building programs revolved around outdoor educational and mentorship practices that have been passed down since humans first started walking the planet and living off the land. There's an extensive network of wilderness schools and outdoor educational resources we pull from to incorporate a truly unique experience for the children enrolled, while also furthering our education through these programs around the U.S.  

At Corpus Nature School we currently offer nature school classes weekly, a co-op for the younger ones, and an after-school program launching this fall. These programs are built to mentor children in the below areas:

• Fire Making
• Bird & Animal Identification
• Tool Making
• Animal Tracking
• Navigation
• And Much More!
